The Recording of our November Virtual Luncheon Meeting is online.

We have posted the recording online for Cypress members, who were not able to attend our lively session Friday.  Our fascinating speaker was Sue Keller,  We meant to record in gallery view, but it recorded in speaker view, which means you will be able to see anyone who is speaking, but not everyone else at once.  We had only about 24 participants, but we covered a lot of territory.  It is that time of year.  More details below but think it’s more fun listening also to the recording.

The Christmas Giving Tree Gift Tags Program and TLP Gifts

Pick up your Christmas tags off the beautifully decorated Giving  Gift Box which is sheltered on Leslie Walker’s front porch.

This year we will be including TLP gift cards to Fred Meyer’s, so you will be able to pick that and a gift tag or both as a way to give this holiday season — no more than $25 in value each please. Pick as many as you wish.  But hurry.  There are only 1/2 remaining, although Megan did say she will bring over more if requested. Please do not leave checks or cash. (See below about that.)

You will be able to pick your choice of gifts and then return them to Leslie’s porch no later than Dec 8th. Not wrapped, but you can place them in gift bags. This year also, Megan says they welcome your extra gift wrap and gift ribbons, if you have that laying around.

Leslie’s home address is located in our member directory. You don’t need to call ahead to pick your tag or to leave your gift.  She will be monitoring her porch regularly.  Leslie’s address is in the Member Directory.

Sign the new Cypress House Sign

Everyone has been busy, but Margie Wiesenthal is still waiting for all of us to sign “Cypress House” sign which will ultimately sit in front of Seneca House.  Margie has the correct pen needed to write on the sign and she has setup a table in her patio for you to sign the sign without having to come into her home.  Or she has offered to bring it to you. Margie’s address is in the Charbonneau phone directory and in the Boys & Girls new directory that was recently sent to all members in the mail.  You can also email her at: wiesenthal2636@comcast.net to make your arrangements.

Sports  Bag Update

We still will need a lot of cookies. We need 2 dozen from each donor.  Must be homemade and no nuts.  Deliver anytime before December 7th to Diane McMichael’s house.

Donating Directly

If you prefer to donate $ at any time.  Here is the online link to do that.  In the “Comments” section you can add that you are “Cypress”.

We Need Your Feedback

Not enough of our members are joining us each month. Is it something we said or didn’t say?   We do have our virtual zoom recordings online for everyone, so you can see, they aren’t that boring. We have great speakers and we chat back and forth just like at a regular luncheon.  But yes, there are a few differences.  Online is not everyone’s best way of socializing.  In fact it’s pretty much no one’s way of getting together, but for now, it’s our only way to do it safely.

We want to get your feedback so we want to send out a brief survey.  But no need to wait for that if you want to send us your thoughts now.  Just send to me.  My email is below.   We are really missing everyone.

For now, our best to all,

Diann Harland, President
