Tuesday afternoon, within a few minutes after our board met to plan our January program, the CCC announced at their monthly board meeting that Charbonneau will be re-enforcing more strict and precautionary COVID health measures effective immediately. The need for returning to these precautions is in response to the rising COVID cases in our county and throughout the state. These are not actually new requirements, we are told, but a reinforcement of safety measures still required by the State.
We so enjoyed our holiday brunch together but we had planned to send out a short survey anyhow to find out if Cypress membership would be open to meeting in person again in January. If the answer was yes in the majority, we had a program and catering options for your consideration. But now, it looks like the reimplementation of stronger precautions have decided for us. The distancing requirement alone means we need to wait until restrictions are lifted and we can sit at more than one per table.
Cypress House Project
Since we won’t be meeting this month, Leslie Walker has generously offered to be a drop off for Cypress House items you have purchased directly. Her address is in the membership book. No need to ring the doorbell or call ahead. Please get your wonderful gifts to Leslie’s no later than Friday, January 21st.
If you are using the Wish List link, those gifts are already being sent directly to HQ. We shared that Wish List link last month, but here it is again.
Crab & Rib Dinner & Auction
We still are planning for the Crab & Rib event on April 23rd. The planning committee meets this month and will share the plan after their meeting. If you are saving items for the silent auction , you can contact Elaine Swyt to discuss.
Please feel free to reply to this email if you have any thoughts or concerns.
Our best to all and please stay safe.
