With the lifting of COVID restrictions, we are excited to announce the details for our March return.
Our luncheon will be Friday, March 18th at 11:30am in the CCC Dining Room. Our speaker will be Sheri Takemoto, Birth Parent Counselor for Boys & Girls Aid. We also will have a full agenda including all the details about the Crab & Rib Dinner, our 2022 Easter Basket Program, and more.
Our luncheon will be catered by Olive Garden, buffet style. The menu includes: Lasagna, Fettuccini Alfredo (no meat) with salad and breadsticks. Dessert will be a yummy Black Tie Cake. Wine and ice tea will also be served. The luncheon price is $20.
New RSVP & Pay Procedure
Please RSVP and pay by Noon, Monday March 14th. No payments will be accepted on the day of the luncheon.
RSVP online please at: Boys&Girls Aid (mobilecause.com). When you RSVP, choose your payment option — credit card, check or cash. You will receive an online confirmation right away,
If you select check or cash, you have one more step — You will need to drop your check made payable to “Boys and Girls Aid” into the black lock box in the CCC Coat room. Envelopes are available there for those who pay with cash. Please mark your envelopes with your name. Please do that also no later than noon on Monday, Mar 14th.
We no longer will allow payment on the day of the luncheon, only by the methods described above, by the deadline date and we will be unable to give any refunds if you aren’t able to make it, because we still have to pay the caterer for the lunches ordered. For a number of good reasons, your board has carefully considered and decided on this new policy and these new procedures.
Easter Basket Program 2022
Terri Royse & her team have been carefully planning this year’s Easter Basket gifts to the boys and girls at The Nest. At the luncheon, she will have on display the Easter Basket Wreath with the gift tags you will be able to pull for additions to the baskets. These items will need to be delivered to Leslie Walker’s front porch no later than Friday, April 1st. If you are not able to attend this month’s luncheon, those tags remaining will be hung at Leslie’s porch until they are gone. She and the team will then assemble all into beautiful baskets for the children on April 5th.
Crab & Rib Dinner — April 23, 2022
The CRD Team has been carefully planning the details for the past several months and today said all systems are go. Tickets will go back on sale next week. We already have a little over 100 re-confirmed guests rescheduled from September 2021. With the COVID restrictions being lifted this coming week, Katie will be sending out an announcement that we are opening up ticket sales for up to 200 guests. We will have a few changes but we are so excited to see the return of our traditional fundraiser! Everyone who asked to help will be contacted in the coming days to confirm your availability and at our luncheon you can sign up and ask questions. If you have any questions before then, you can contact any member of the planning team — Anne Shevlin, Chris Bosak, or Elaine Swyt. Emails and numbers are in the membership book.
