Crab & Rib Dinner

The “Save the Date” mailing is out. — Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Willamette Valley Country Club. Tickets go on sale by the beginning of February. This year because of where and when, we have arranged a “Surf & Turf” menu and Silent Auction. We are so excited to offer this totally different venue option. We still have a few auction items needed and we always welcome whatever else you want to offer to the event. If you want to know what you signed up for, call Elaine or email eswyt@mediaphysics.com. If you have an item separate from the sign-up suggestions, contact Elaine before bringing your item to our luncheon or to Terri Royse’s home. In-kind forms and “ask” letters are available online and at our luncheons.

Gift Cards & the Wine or Whiskey Wall

In addition we are asking if possible, that you donate at least one (1) gift card and whoever can, we need twenty (20) bottles of premium red and white wines or Whiskey. All of these can be brought to our monthly luncheon for one more month or to Terri Royse’s home.

Hope Donation to Boys and Girls Aid

We want to share that recently, Boys & Girls Aid received a $500 donation to the “The Nest” from the Lake Oswego United Methodist Church “Gifts of Hope” campaign.

From member, Steph Pump, who helped connect us to this program:

“The Lake Oswego United Methodist Church has had their Gifts of Hope campaign for several years. In 2018 they agreed to add “The Nest” to the list of charities supported by the campaign. Many Cypress members helped in staffing the booth. Then COVID shut us down. The campaign came back virtually last year. This year it is virtual once again. The statement in the booklet that goes to members reads:

“Can you imagine being 6 years old and being bounced around from one strange home to another when all you really want is stability and to feel safe. “The Nest” is a special program providing a loving, supportive environment to encourage healing and growth for young children ages 4 – 9 who have suffered abuse and neglect. Positive outcomes are possible for these precious children with support from foster parents, Boys & Girls Aid staff and your donations.’’

So much to celebrate and share. We are looking forward to seeing everyone on the 20th!
